TRACE & NARRATIVE
"London Blue"is a grade name indicating depth of blue in topaz. Deeper than Swiss Blue, deeper than Sky Blue. Natural topaz of this intensity is extremely rare; most is produced by neutron irradiation and heat treatment of colourless stone.
Topaz itself is found worldwide—Brazil, Nigeria, Sri Lanka. An aluminium silicate containing fluorine, Mohs hardness 8.
A colour that appears only through human intervention. Natural stone, shaped by technique, yielding a depth of blue that scarcely exists in nature. A mineral on the border between the given and the made.
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
- Has natural cleavage — can crack on sharp impact.
- Avoid drops onto hard surfaces.
- Do not use steam or ultrasonic cleaners.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROJECTION
Gravitas — Deliberation — Precision
Gives language its undertow. The thought descends once before surfacing as speech — and that beat of silence becomes the weight behind the words. Economy and depth in the same breath.
SELECTOR'S NOTE
He thinks it, lets it settle, then says it. The weight of that pause gives the words their gravity. Other people rush to fill silence — he uses it as a workshop. This stone suits that person. For someone who is already deliberate with language, not someone learning to be.
