TRACE & NARRATIVE

Named after the Amazon, yet never once recorded from the Amazon basin. The name itself begins with a misunderstanding.

A variety of microcline feldspar. Trace amounts of lead and water produce its quiet blue-green. Found in granite and pegmatite deposits across Russia, Madagascar, Brazil, and Colorado.

Amazonite jewellery was recovered from the tomb of Tutankhamun. Over three thousand years ago, the Egyptians had already chosen this colour. A stone that carries the name of a river it has never known.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROJECTION

Discernment — Balance — Discipline

Useful when the signal gets lost in the noise. It doesn't simplify — it holds the line. Wear it long enough and the thinking sharpens on its own. Hesitation drops away; what remains is outline.

SELECTOR'S NOTE

Everyone in the room has agreed to the proposal. One person hasn't spoken yet. Not out of contrarianism — he simply noticed something the rest were too polite or too eager to flag. That coolness under consensus is hard to teach. This stone carries a colour close to that particular composure. He looks like he's choosing on instinct. He isn't. His criteria are exact.
