MARCH BIRTHSTONE

TRACE & NARRATIVE

Latin for ""seawater."" Roman sailors carried it as a talisman, believing it could calm the ocean in a storm.

A member of the beryl family, sharing the same crystal structure as emerald. A trace difference in iron content separates deep green from pale blue. The same skeleton, an entirely different character.

Primarily sourced from high-altitude granite pegmatites in Brazil, Pakistan, and Madagascar. Named after the sea, born deep within mountains.

Neither too deep nor too pale. A transparency that registers as clean rather than precious. It adds very little. That restraint is the point.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROJECTION

Clarity — Poise — Fluidity

Opens the aperture without cooling the frame. Feeling stays warm; only perception sharpens. The distinction matters — this isn't detachment. It's resolution.

SELECTOR'S NOTE

A warm-blooded person trying to stay level-headed looks nothing like a cold person being calm. The temperature is still there — the clarity just sits on top of it. I've always thought this stone has that exact texture. It suits anyone who refuses to treat sensitivity as a liability. Feeling things fully and thinking straight are not mutually exclusive. He already knows the difference.
